RN to MSN
The MSN Program specifically designed for RNs
To advance in your nursing career, earning an advanced degree has become a necessity. That’s why, at Resurrection University we offer a unique Master of Science in Nursing Program that allows RNs who have earned their associates degree or diploma to pursue their BSN and their MSN in one program.
The RN to MSN Program will build upon your initial nursing education and your experience as an RN to give you the education you need to lead nursing into the future. It’s a degree program designed for RNs who are ready to take the next step in their educations – and in their careers.
We provide service learning opportunities to as many Resurrection University students as possible. From 2008 – 2016, 151 people have traveled to Honduras for service learning.
The RN to MSN Program gives you options
The RN to MSN Program features two components. The first component consists of seven undergraduate level classes that lead to the BSN. Once completed and with a 3.00 cumulative GPA, the student may matriculate into the MSN program of their choice – the second component of the program. Current MSN offerings are: Nurse Practitioner (Adult Gerontological or Family), Nurse Educator, and Health Systems Leadership.
The RN to MSN program is offered in the hybrid format, featuring both in-class and online components, which offers students the flexibility to go to class and still maintain their work hours. The entire program will typically take about four academic years to complete – the BSN component is typically 13-15 months, or seven, 7-week courses. For those students who do not wish to move into the graduate portion of the program, they may elect to terminate their program after taking the bridge courses and graduate with the BSN. If at a later date the student wishes to complete their graduate studies, they would simply need to apply for the MSN degree.
