The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) helps determine if you’re ready to pursue your Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
To be considered for admission into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at ResU, you must complete the TEAS exam and receive a score of 68% or higher. Your score must be submitted and on file by the application deadline of the semester applied for.
The TEAS exam tests basic essential skills in the academic content areas of Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and language usage. The objectives assessed on the TEAS exam are those which nurse educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry-level academic readiness of nursing program applicants.
Preparing for the TEAS exam
Based on feedback we have received from BSN students who have successfully completed the TEAS exam, the ATI study guide is suggested as one of the most helpful test preparation resources. This guide can be purchased on the ATI website.
